On May 18, TCTenerife received the call of the vessel CAP San Sounio, to carry out the “phase-in/phase-out” operation on its sister ship, the CAP San Artemissio, which arrived on May 22. In this operation, about three thousand containers were moved from one ship to the other or equivalently 5,102 TEUS.
These vessels are the largest to arrive at the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with 119,441 tons of gross tonnage and capacity for 10,589 TEUS, adding to these impressive characteristics, their 333 meters in length and 48 meters in width.
With this extraordinary transshipment operation TCTenerife continues its leadership in the sector on the island of Tenerife and among the few Spanish terminals with the capacity and experience in operating these vessels.
